Margaret Richie Online discussion

On Wednesday (4th March) at 3pm, we are having our first live, on-line Ministerial discussions with Margaret Ritchie, Minister of the Department for Social Development.

This is the first time that a Minister has engaged with the business community using this technology, and I hope that you will log in and join in. We will be using the 'chat room' functionality on the site.

The remit of DSD covers a number of areas that are of interest:
** Urban Regeneration
** Benefits - NI has the highest percentage of economically inactive in the UK at 27%. 20% of those are on Incapacity benefit
** Housing - an additional £205M secured in Jan for social housing. 1,500 new starts this year
** Voluntary and Community - engagement with business
** £22.4M in fuel poverty payments - could we make this money work better through fuel efficiences rather than cash payments
I look forward to seeing you on-line on wednesday at 3pm.
