Support available for Belfast based groups exploring social enterprise
Following our recent communication that Work West and our Social Economy Belfast partners have a new programme of support available for groups in Belfast exploring social enterprise for the first time, we’d like to invite you to one of 2 information sessions in the coming weeks.
The new pre-enterprise social economy development programme is funded by Belfast City Council and the European Regional Development Fund under the European Regional Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
It is aimed at groups and individuals at the pre-enterprise stage seeking to develop a new or existing social enterprise idea in the Belfast City Council area who have little or no experience of social economy structures and ethos.
The programme will run from September 2009 to June 2010 and will support 12 groups, via a range of support methods.
If you are interested in hearing more about the programme, the information sessions are ideal for you. Staff from the Social Economy Belfast team will be on hand to explain how the programme will run and answer your queries. We are hosting the events with support from the Social Economy Network staff and members, who can tell you more about how social enterprise can deliver long term sustainability for your organisation.
Information sessions are taking place at the following times:
Date: Tuesday 29 September
Time: 2.30pm – 4.00pm
Venue: City East, Newtownards Road, Belfast
Date: Thursday 1 October
Time: 10am – 11.30pm
Venue: Groundwork NI, 63-75 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast
Please register your attendance in advance with Lynsey Cameron at Work West on 90610826 or email l.cameron@workwest.co.uk
