Intyeresting things with ISEA and OBG

The Scrapyard Challenge workshops are intensive workshops where participants build simple electronic projects out of found or discarded "junk" (old electronics, clothing, furniture, outdated computer equipment, appliances, turntables, monitors, gadgets, etc.) So far the workshops have been held 32 times in 14 countries, on 5 continents with different themes including the MIDI Scrapyard Challenge where participants build simple musical controllers from discarded objects and "junk", DIY Wearable Challenge where they create wearable tech projects from used clothing. No electronics skills or any experience with technology is necessary to participate in the workshops.
The Scrapyard Challenge Workshops are built on the premise of encouraging an open and collaborative space for creative ideas and hands-on prototyping.

C-13 Digital Art Collective
Thursday 20th August, 8pm, Free
C-13 are a cross-disciplinary group of Artists and Designers that create multimedia artwork and experimental digital performance.
Within the OBG, the collective will deliver a site-specific event / installation. This is to be in response to the dynamics of the present space and a reaction to its history. The collective will employ new digital instrumentation and creative processes to produce a unique and provocative event.
