Excuse to go to Strangford-as if you needed one

Write! Down are delighted to be hosting a reading by internationally recognised novelist, John Banville, at the church, Old Court, Strangford, 19th September 2009, 8.30pm. John Banville is a writer with a luminous literary career which includes being awarded the Man Booker Prize (2005) for his novel 'The Sea'. He is also the author of a series of crime novels under the pen-name Benjamin Black. He is accompanied on the evening by Ruby Colley - whose captivating music is infused with influences of Easter Europe, the natural world; and the sea.
