Goodmorning Belfast

Did you wake up with the birds this morning or not? Can you hear the birds where you are? Or has someone killed them all? Is'nt it nice to have the longer evenings, you hope the worst of the weather is over and it all gets brighter from here on in. Really much brighter which is nice. So what going on in Belfast? well I notice that there are a few retail outlets going! some of the UK shops are pulling out so that should change the retail landscape a bit. Maybe more opportunities for local people who want to stay here no matter what. There still seems to be plenty of construction going on. Lots of buildings going up. A new hotel here or there. and the people have a spring in their step because it's spring. People are starting to dress differently the skirts are coming out you can try shirt sleeves for a second or two and there is a general feeling of change about the place. Easter is around the corner, traffic will be getting lighter next week when the children are off school and parents are on holiday and so the cycle of Belfast continues. Talking about cycling I have noticed more cyclists out and about. I wish that they would get their act together more and really sort out the cycle infrastructure but it's getting there.

All the while the world keeps turning and people keep loving ,living, hating and crying but not necessarily in that order.

Kult Pulp at the Opera House- what a fantastic film a really amazing collaboration. I love the little gold messages that you can take with you on order of the Kult. But if you don't need them you can put them back. Not necessary to take them with you. You will know what I mean if you go and have a look. There was a great turn out for the opening and the film looked fantastic in the baby grand...................................but will it all start a revolution? It's on until 2 May. It was great to see so many people out at Late night art last night there was a real buzz around the gallery's and now that the lighter evenings are here it should encourage more people to come.

I believe they are going to get it started on a Sunday as well which would be good as in any other major European city gallery's are open on a Sunday......another step in a changing Northern Ireland that as well as the documentating of the demolution of the Maze prison, you can see the photos in the Belfast exposed gallery.......................slowly it moves on.
